About me
In colour it hurts less - this approach has helped a lot in my personal life journey, breaking out of the world of black and grey
Hi, my name is Anna Uljasz and I am a professional Death Doula. In a life full of uncertainty and difficulty, my job is to support palliative patients and their loved ones – both in the final moments of life and during the difficult grieving process. I offer support both in person, over the phone and online, creating a safe space where everyone can feel comfortable and properly cared for. I listen with empathy, an open heart and understanding, I don’t judge, try to fix or assume – I am simply present. I also volunteer at a hospice where I work with people and their families in palliative care, bereaved families, lead meditation, REIKI and other ongoing projects
My own life experiences have shaped my professional path. I lost my Dad when I was 24 years old. It was an unexpected and painful blow for me. At home, we never talked about death. I experienced a Complicated Mourning that lasted four years, full of self-recrimination, misunderstanding and lack of support. Now, in retrospect, I can see how much this experience affected my work.
I have also encountered other losses that affect us in life: the loss of a partner, a job and even the loss of possessions. These personal experiences, as well as supporting others through their difficult times, have taught me a lot and helped me to better understand the needs and feelings of the people I help.
In my work I use a variety of techniques and methods, such as Reiki, Crystal Reiki, meditation, yoga, EFT technique, and I run ‘Legacy’ projects with people who are dying. My aim is to educate and spread awareness about the importance of proper end-of-life preparation, a subject often treated as taboo.
Privately, I am grateful to be alive. I love and accept myself and everyone around me. I am a good listener - I don't judge, advise or solve problems according to one scheme. I am here for you to help you understand what you are going through and give you the safe space , time and support you need.
I have a wonderful husband, two cats from a shelter. I love travelling, meeting new people, their customs and life. I love yoga and anything related to the spiritual realm.
